At PDC last year Microsoft announced Visual Studio 2010, and announced that it would be redesigned with a WPF user interface. The virtual machine build released at the event did not contain the complete new UI that was announced, however progress then was satisfying.

A couple of days ago Jason Zander, General Manager for the VS Developer Division released screenshots of the new WPF-ified UI, and they certainly look awesome.

You can see them at his blog http://blogs.msdn.com/jasonz/archive/2009/02/20/a-new-look-for-visual-studio-2010.aspx.

Some of us Microsoft Interns (like me) even got to play around with the GUI when we were in Redmond! :-)
