Office 2007 SP2 Released

29 April 2009no comments Uncategorized

Microsoft Office 2007 In what to me was a rather quiet launch, Office 2007 SP2 was released recently. The best way to get this update is via Windows Update, however if you want the whole thing to keep for later, you can download it from Microsoft here:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=b444bf18-79ea-46c6-8a81-9db49b4ab6e5&displaylang=en

It is about 250MB wherever you get it.

This article outlines the changes in SP2, however some major at-a-glance features are:

  • ODF (OpenDocument Format) support built in. (Version 1.1 of the format – *.odt, *.ods, *.odp)
  • Save as PDF/XPS now comes with Office 2007 instead of requiring an extra download.
  • Many performance increases across the suite.

If you don’t have Office 2007 and are a student at a University in Australia, remember you can get Office 2007 Ultimate edition for $75 legit through Its Not Piracy.
